A Message from Pastor Robert James and First Lady Penda James
Welcome to the online home of Zion Missionary Baptist Church! We thank you for taking the time to peruse our site where you will find information about us, to include ministry activities, upcoming events and previous sermons. We recognize that looking for a church home can be challenging; we want you to know that Zion is a loving church where our goal is to be an example of Christ’s love. For those of you who may be experiencing difficult times, Zion is a “Refuge from the storms of life.”
As you navigate our website we hope that you will observe ministries where you can put your hand to the plow for the work of the Lord. There are many opportunities for you to get involved in one of our ministries, in our Bible studies, and in our missionary endeavors.
We are a group of church members who are committed to learning about, and following Jesus. Our hope is that when you decide to visit us that you will feel loved and welcomed. Once you come, we pray that you will feel at home with us at Zion!

A Place For You
My Religion is a church that believes in Jesus, a church that loves God and people.
Worship at Zion Missionary Baptist Church is more than music, more than a gathering, more than an hour or so on Sunday morning. Worship is our lifestyle response to God and how much we value and give worth to Him. Our corporate and private worship of God is our church’s first ministry priority. Zion offers a variety of opportunities for individual and corporate expressions of reverence, praise, honor and service to God through regular worship experiences, prayer, music, arts, meditation and spoken Word.

At Zion we strive to share the Gospel of Christ with our community and the world, and to contribute to transformation and uplift in the lives of others locally and globally, by conducting mission activities (in-reach & out-reach) through Zion’s entire membership, including the Pastor and Church staff, while utilizing funds, facilities, time and other resources, including cooperative efforts on common concerns with other faith partners and the broader community.
Congregational and member care is providing prayer, exceptional care, unconditional love, spiritual, physical, and emotional support for individuals and families in Zion at various stages and facing various circumstances in life; also providing encouragement in joys, burdens, sickness and sorrows.
At Zion we actively seek ways to lead a balanced life that includes worship, service and recreation. We are an intergenerational, life-giving community.
Zion extends welcome and warm hospitality at all times to everyone who enters into our community of faith.
